Palm Springs, CA– The Rotax Pan American Challenge is proud to announce its association with the Kids Racing for Kids charity. Kids Racing for Kids,, is a foundation started by Tim Self after he and his son started in Karting. Following his path, Tim Glasson joined the mission to grow the program with his son and now these two are leading the charge in Karting to use their passion for the sport and teach their sons to recognize the privileges they enjoy that many young kids cannot. “I do not believe there is a more important thing we can do with our young racers that teach them to be responsible citizens and give back to the community” states Marshall Martin, Rotax Program Director. “The organization that Tim Self and Tim Glasson have championed is something we are very proud and honored to be part of.”

“I started this foundation not only to give back to children in need, but also to promote positive values in kids that aren’t always learned by what they’re taught in school,” said Self. “I wanted to partner with a racing organization with exposure so we could get attention to the foundation, while bringing exposure to karting in the communities we race in.”

As part of the program when every racer enters for one of the Rotax Pan American Series racers they can select the option to give $5 or $10 to the charity. On Sunday at each event Rotax Pan American event officials will present to Tim Glasson a check made out to Kids Racing for Kids, for all amounts collected thru the registration process and other fund racing events during the weekend. In addition, Glasson Racing will be donating $400 at each event on behalf of Kids Racing for Kids to the local CASA organization .

“I am pleased to be working with Tim Self and the Rotax Pan American Challenge in order to raise awareness to KRFK organization. I cannot think of any better way to give back to the communities we are racing in while raising awareness for our sport”, said Tim Glasson.
