Palm Springs, CA– The Rotax Pan American Challenge wants to remind all competitors and families attending the event its association with the Kids Racing for Kids charity in 2010. Kids Racing for Kids, www.krfk.org, is a foundation started by Tim Self after he and his son started in Karting. Following his path, Tim Glasson joined the mission to grow the program with his son and now these two are leading the charge in Karting to use their passion for the sport and teach their sons to recognize the privileges they enjoy that many young kids cannot. “I do not believe there is a more important thing we can do with our young racers that teach them to be responsible citizens and give back to the community” states Marshall Martin, Rotax Program Director. “The organization that Tim Self and Tim Glasson have championed is something we are very proud and honored to be part of.”

On Sunday, April 25, 2010, there will be a representative from the local CASA www.casaforchildren.org to accept a check for a minimum of $400 on behalf of Kids Racing for Kids organization during the awards ceremony. If you want to donate at the track or become a member, you may see Tim Glasson beginning next Thursday under the DFR Racing tent.
